Dr. McAdams-Jones has been a practicing registered nurse since 1973, served as a Major United States Army Nurse Corps in the European Theater and Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon Georgia, and is a graduate of Tuskegee University. She is the founder of Justussocializing.net a nonprofit from which she continues to educate on matters of equality. After leaving the United States Armed Forces, she continued to practice while joining higher education. She is a Certified Simulation Health Care Educator (CHSE), a Fellow in the Academy of Nurse Educators (ANEF), a graduate of AACN Access Connection and Engagement, and a Senior Fellow Advance Higher Education. Her areas of interest are social justice and integrating social determinants of health into nursing curriculum along with mowing lawns and fly-fishing curiosity.
