Dr. Lori Kall is an associate professor in the School of Education at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she serves as Director of Educational Leadership Programs. With over two decades of experience in K-12 education and ongoing work as a practicing school leader, Dr. Kall brings a deeply integrated lens to leadership, curriculum, and inclusive practice.
Her work centers on bridging research and real-world application, equipping educators to design equitable, student-centered learning environments. Since 2020, the framework presented in this book has driven the design of GEL 6004 and is embedded throughout the PASC and CASC credential programs,ms, with ongoing data collection supporting continuous improvement. Findings from this work are currently being disseminated through book chapters, peer-reviewed articles, and professional presentations.
This book reflects a collaborative effort with colleagues across California, including Dr. Jennifer Moradian of Fresno State and Dr. Betty Alford of Cal Poly Pomona, grounded in a shared commitment to advancing inclusive practices in education.
Dr. Kall's current projects extend this work through the development of The Nurtured Child Project, an SELL5-domain framework for K-8 schools,and Pabulum, a higher education model of classroom-based EXPERIENCES designed to cultivate inclusion between educators and students and among peers.
Her scholarship and teaching focus on curriculum innovation, equity-centered leadership, and the development of reflective practitioners who leadI with purpose and compassion.
